Planning Applications

Berkswell Parish Council takes planning issues very seriously as they shape the future of the community. In order to devote more time to the planning applications, it was decided in 2010 to hold separate regular meetings, usually monthly, of the Planning Committee to discuss new planning applications.

Process

Having looked at the statements and plans and listened to public comments (for or against) the Committee consider the affect upon the Parish. In this respect the Parish Council encourage members of the public to attend the meetings of the Planning Committee to have their say and listen to the deliberations of the committee.

However, if you are not able to attend but would like to make a comment then you can contact the clerk, Mr Richard Wilson on 07801 042623 or at clerk [at] berkswellparishcouncil.org.uk.

The Committee's findings, classified as "observations", are formally passed to the Borough Council's Planning Department.

Remember, we can only make a recommendation to Solihull MBC, the final decision rests with them.
